Professional Handling of Arbitrator Payments

The SCCA Fund Management Procedures enable parties to outsource the financial interaction with the Arbitral Tribunal or the Mediator to a third, neutral party that arranges for a smooth and streamlined payment process.

Once the parties have agreed to it, SCCA takes over the collection, holding, and disbursement of party funds to settle Arbitral Tribunal and Mediator invoices. SCCA provides an accounting when requested and at the end of the case.

It protects the neutrality of the proceedings by enabling the parties as well as the Arbitral Tribunal or the Mediator to focus their attention and resources on the case.

Service Fee

  • SAR 4,000 in case of one Arbitrator or Mediator (one-time flat rate).
  • SAR 8,000 in case of three Arbitrators (one-time flat rate).

The SCCA Service Fee is due and payable at the time of the submission of the Request for Fundholding Services. In exceptional circumstances where the parties have agreed upon additional services not reasonably contemplated at the time of submitting the Request, SCCA may fix a higher amount in SCCA Service Fees.

All costs and expenses incurred by SCCA for collecting, holding, and disbursing the funds are the parties’ responsibility and will be deducted from the funds held in escrow. Unless otherwise directed, such costs and expenses shall be borne by the parties in equal shares.
